2004 Porsche 911

Reliable fun!
I loved the 996. 4 wheel drive for winter driving, top down fun for the sun. Couldn't have asked more of this car - except it depreciated like crazy. Over $1000 a month at times. Other than that it was a blast.

2013 Porsche 911

It's was a best car ever
The car design were very stylish. The wheels provided a smooth drive. the interior of the car just blew me away, the power of the car made me feel proud. the seats were extremely comfortable, it didn't require as much maintenance as many other cars. The car had good value for the price. The brakes were smooth and reliable. The were many functions that the car had that many other cars didn't. The price for this high quality car was worth every penny. Overall the Porsche is an amazing car that many people should own

good car
this is a good car overall, i owned one for about two years and there was no major problems with it, the clutch broke on it one time but it wasn't to hard to fix, the gas was very expensive on it and the insurance was high

Love the car performance, looks and reliability. Rough ride because of sport suspension. Still, there is no substitute.

Good car for gearheads!
Great vehicle if you are a gearhead and into cars. Not so great as a family car, although you can actually fit a car seat in the back, which is surprising!

Solid sports car
Owned this car for 5 years, 30K kms. Have had a number of little problems that had to be fixed (stuck key, water pump), but nothing extraordinary for a 10 year old car. IMS failure is known to occur, but usually happens with poor maintenance. As with any car, a little preventative maintenance goes a long ways.

2003 Porsche 911

love it
this is an amazing car. the ride is smooth, the tail is minimal. the breaking system is amazing. the stereo system was lacking so it was updated, the rims were also not my style, but they were changed. it is good to use in summer and winter, but the kpg are okay. the style is very aerodynamic and racing is a dream. i love the car and would recommend it to people who love speed and amazing handling.

Always a Titillating Ride
A reliable daily driver car as well as a great track car with only minor upgrades. I've had this car now for 3 years now and never feel bored driving it, long or short drives. The Sport Adaptive seats cradle your body for those spirited turns. The torque curve is very flat, making it easy to drive in town with minimal gear changes of the 6-speed tranny. And on the track, it's a blast!
That's where it really excels. Added bonus - the unique styling elicits frequent "nice ride" comments wherever I park. Buy another Porsche - DEFINITELY!

A Vehicle That Puts This Silly Grin on Your Face!
I am by no stretch of the imagination a mechanically-inclined individual. However, I do know what I like and from the first time I saw a new C4S at the local Porsche dealership almost ten years ago I knew that this was the car I had to own. The only thing I didn't know what it would take me almost a decade to make that a reality. I have not for a single moment ever regretted purchasing this vehicle.

Pros:
- beautiful exterior styling, especially when looking at the back end
- all-wheel-drive that actually performs so that you CAN drive this vehicle in the winter (I live in Calgary)
- torque-galore that puts this silly grin on your face as you're chewing up kilometres down the twisty highway!
- quality, functional interior built around the driver
- excellent factory stereo
- low maintenance
- the sound

Cons:
- maintenance costs - make sure you find yourself a good independent mechanic
- fuel economy - what did you expect?? It is VERY hard to be a passive driver in this car!
- passenger comfort - my wife despises getting in this car because it is low and you can feel every bit of the road
- cargo space
- cup holders - I learned this the hard way - they're pretty much useless

Would I recommend this vehicle to others? Absolutely! Just make sure you purchase a good radar detector as well!

2001 Porsche 911

Interesting Ride
Got the 911 Carrerra 4 used in a wicked deal; dream of a lifetime. It's an interesting ride. Fun, mindblowingly fun on a twisty highway. Handling in rough terrain is incredible. Driving in the city is interesting in that the handling is so good you don't notice it...it becomes a sedate drive in a way.
What I found to be odd, though, was that the VW GTI I owned was actually more fun to drive in the city than the Porsche. You can feel the physics of the GTI doing your errands - going around corners, the zip of it picking up on a stop line. I really only got the sense of a similar driving experience with the Porsche on the highway.
So, I'd recommend a VW GTI as a reasonable option if you can't afford the Porsche & the Porsche if you can.

There is no substitute
This is a classic design 911 SC from the 80's, beautiful in chiffon white and very very sporty. Its air cooled engine and all the mods have been done as per expert recommendations to prevent known problems. I use this as our 3rd car - just for fun at the weekends - my 3yr old son just loves riding in it. The acceleration is great, the transmission is stick (old school) the space inside is great in the front row, now so much legroom in the back but what do you expect from a racing car design. I love the design, it makes me smile to see this sat in our garage and for the first time in my life I want to think about maintaining a car. On Sundays we unleash the beast, so guess I am riding my luck and counting the days to my first run in with the RCMP.

Classic
I have not had this car for long, so cannot really comment on reliability. Still a quick car for it age and really fun to drive. It takes you back to when cars were cars with out assisted brakes or steering. A super fun weekend car or daily driver but does require skill and concentration especially in the wet.
