Chevrolet Silverado 1500 1990-2013Change

My old truck has never left me stranded. i love the ol girl its way more comfortable then the new trucks and there is not much of that computerized to deal with. chevy truck owners deftinately know whats what.w

My husband has one for work. He is a Mechanic that works on heavy machinery, and this truck is perfect for him. He has had no problems with it and would buy another if he needed to in a heart beat!

This is a good work truck. It has 4 wheel drive and traction control. It will pull a bumper hitch trailer that wieghts about 5300 ibs with no problems. The cab is spacoius and has plenty of room in the front and back seats.

I've Had this truck for going on 5 years now.
Only major issues were the fuel sending unit failing this past fall. This is the only expensive repair I have had and it was all done in a day for $1400
Other minor issues were the third door no longer opens, and the rust is now starting to show pretty bad, but that is my own fault.

i bought this truck one year ago and since then i really had no problems at all till this winter, i started to get a shake in the truck when it went to auto 4x4 and direct 4x4 and as the traction control stopped working , and now this week it started to rain from my dome light ,top left side corner of the windshield and water running down the trim on the left side, as i am still waiting to get it into the shop i am thinking that this water is coming from the antenna on the roof. now after i get this all fix it still will be a pig on gas LOL....got to have my chev.

Has been a very good truck. It is smooth driving with descent power and is very comfortable. THere is no wind noise and the bose stereo is very good. I have not had to replace any major parts on the vehicle. The fuel economy could be better though

It is a very comfortabl vehicle to travel in and reliable on Norther Ontario winter roads. Unfortunately, it rusts easily even though it is treated every fall. The outer moldings are falling off and the service at the local GM dealer is the pits. But all in all, I am satisfied with the overall performance of our Silverado!

I would recommend this truck to anyone. Its an all-round winner.

Comparable to other pick-ups, the silverado has decent fuel economy for a pick up and has had a few electronic issues (mostly seat related).Transfer case had to be replaced under warranty as it had some pices from berings end up in oil and caused noise.

Great truck. Love the 4 wheel drive. Pulls the camper with no problem. Love it for ice fishing, hunting and all the other fun stuff. Nice interior for the year. The only downfall is that is it only 2 door which makes it difficult to take more than 2 people and put items in and out of the back,.

I like the fact that this truck is so dependable. The 5.3l vortec motor is plenty capable for towing and doesn't guzzle too much fuel. It also runs like a top and all the new parts make it a great value that can last for years to come, the perfect addition for the shop or job.

\have owned this truck for 5 years now,got at 176000 and now have around 330000 been a very reliable truck with very little problems.has the 5.3L and still average 24 mpg on the highway which is where 90% of the mileage i have put on it has been done.very comfortable cloth bucket seats that don't make me tired after a long trip,which i appreciate as i am a over the road truck driver.find that all switches are in the right place.the only down size is the speedometer clusters die after a while,but for 500 in 5 years can't go wrong.very capable off-road also as i do hunt and fish with the truck.have repainted the truck and am hoping to keep it for another 5 years

I bought my truck used with 142k on the clock, it's now on 235k and I'm pleased to say I have not had one issue with the vehicle in almost 3 years of ownership! Runs like the day I bought it!! Chevy claims the lowest cost of ownership and I can vouch for that. I keep the fluids and filters clean and thats all there is to it.

Really like this truck. Used primarily for daily driving but also used for trailering. Love it, just wish the fuel economy was a little better.

Absolutely love the vehicle, I purchased a used model earlier this year and have been very happy all around with it. I've put it through the riggers quite a bit this summer as I've traveled a fair amount with my work and been through some gnarly conditions.

Covered a lot of distance in the last year as a tech rep using this truck and I've been incredibly happy with the vehicle. It's handled really well in some gnarly conditions, and as with any truck, tons of storage. Interior's nothing too special, but it's spacious and a surprisingly decent sound system. Fuel economy I knew would be an issue before purchasing, but it still appears to be one of the better trucks in the category for fuel economy. All around very happy.

Picked this up for a winter ride and a summer workhorse - very happy with it! Smooth ride, and very comfortable interior. I find the brakes a bit underpowered - especially with the tow package. I can get in or out of anything with my Yokohama tires and 4x4 engaged....fun and reliable!

Excellent fuel mileage, plenty of pulling power(5.3L engine) very dependable, Onstar gives you the peace of mind while driving.

Best truck ever!! Love the roomy interior, the body style, gets the job done :) Wouldn't want any other truck :)

My Chevy is very reliable and very stylish. It is great on gas too. It is very roomy and extremely comfortable. I would not want any other vehicle

Great for hauling with the 8 foot box , 128 liter tank and eco boost 5.3 engine makes for fewer stops at the gas pumps.

I have had this truck brand new and il be honest, i havent been the nicest of drivers. Been trough nightmares and back with it. but the only time i made a scratch on it was when i was deep in the woods hunting. The only other bumps on it were made from other people while i wasnt behind the wheel. Its quite easy to find spare parts these days. Wonderfull truck!!
