Infiniti has revealed pricing and some details for a pair of all new models today. The first is their new compact crossover, the QX30 and the second is the Q60 sports coupe.
The QX30 starts with a 2.0L turbo four that produces 208 hp and 258 lb-ft. The engine routes power through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and either front wheel or all-wheel drive is available. The new engine gets start-stop to save fuel as well. The new CUV gets LED daytime running lights and a body that is more aggressively styled than much of the class. All-wheel drive models get unique fascias, fender flares, black side sills, 18-inch wheels, and raised up suspension. All models come with a rear-view camera, Nappa leather seating with power adjustment heating, and Infiniti intelligent key. The top trim sport model is front-wheel drive only and gets a lower ride height than the base fwd model.
Navigation is optional as is a 10-speaker Bose stereo and satellite radio. New for Infiniti is intelligent park assist, which will measure a space, let you know if it's big enough, and then park for you. The feature works on both parallel and perpendicular spaces. Other active safety and assistance features include blind spot and lane departure warnings, forward emergency braking, LED lighting, and adaptive cruise control.
The QX30 will arrive in dealers this fall.
The all-new Q60 is Infiniti's compact sport coupe. It's the second generation replacement for what used to be the G37. The new model comes with all-wheel drive and 2.0L or 3.0L turbocharged engines (four cylinder and V6). The four produces 208 hp and the twin-turbo V6 makes 300 hp. That V6 will be followed by the Red Sport 400 models which use the same engine to generate 400 hp.
Standard features include 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, moonroof, power seats, and rear view monitor. Premium trim adds navigation and 13-speaker Bose audio. The Q60 3.0t Red Sport 400 is the top model, and with 400 hp is by far the most performance-oriented of the lineup. Expect the Red Sport to take an extra month to arrive at dealers.
