CHANGES FOR 2014:
- 1.0L EcoBoost engine option added (late availability).
- New chrome grille and hood.
- Fiesta ST added.
For 2014, the Ford Fiesta, for the most part, only gets some minor tweaks to normal trims. But two big changes - the addition of a 1.0L EcoBoost three-cylinder engine and the new, hot hatch Fiesta ST - are sure to change the line-up for the better.
All Fiestas are powered by the Brazilian-made 1.6-liter Ti-VCT inline four-cylinder engine generating 120 hp and 112 lb-ft of torque. With this engine is a choice of two transmissions: a 5-speed manual if you prefer to row your own gears, or a 6-speed PowerShift dual-clutch automatic. ST models get a turbocharged 1.6L EcoBoost four-cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission.
In S trim, features include 1.6-liter Ti-VCT inline four-cylinder engine, 5-speed manual transmission, 15-inch steel wheels, colour molded interior trim, six-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input, power locks, front floor mats, map lights, manual windows, cloth seating, 60/40 split folding rear seats, 4-way driver/2-way passenger manual adjustable seats, Easy Fuel capless fuel filler, body colour door handles, body colour decklid eyebrow molding, chrome finish grille, front disc/rear drum brakes with ABS, hill start assist, airbags (front, front seat, side curtain, driver's knee), child safety rear door locks, LATCH, SOS post crash alert system, and TPMS.
SE trim adds metallic interior trim, tilt/telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, cruise control, multifunction message centre, power windows with driver one-touch up/down, rear 12 volt power socket, ambient lighting, rear dome lamp, air conditioning, chrome door release handles, front centre console armrest, soft cloth interior inserts, Ford MyKey, overhead console, Ford SYNC, embossed seat design, body colour power mirrors with integrated blind spot mirrors and turn signal indicators, perimeter alarm, and remote keyless entry.
Titanium trim adds 16-inch alloy wheels, leather and metallic interior trim, auto-dimming rear view mirror, intelligent access with push button start, SYNC with MyFord Touch, driver's seat adjustable lumbar, automatic climate control, satellite radio, sport cloth front bucket seats, heated front seats, chrome beltline and decklid eyebrow molding, fog lights, reverse sensing system, and aluminum spare wheel.
ST, which is only available in hatchback form, adds 1.6L EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, six-speed manual transmission, 17-inch alloy wheels, aluminum pedals, floor mats with ST logo, leather wrapped and perforated steering wheel and shift knob, Recaro partial leather trimmed seats, mesh grille insert, black beltline, body coloured decklid molding, body colour lower extension front fascia with black centre airfoil, unique high mounted rear spoiler, fog lights with carbon black bezel, body colour rear fascia lower extensions with unique black diffuser, unique body colour side rocker moldings, four wheel disc brakes, dual chrome exhaust tips, and engine block heater.
