NEW FOR 2014:
-Redesigned model
After a hiatus for 2013, Porsche's entry-level coupe is redesigned into its second generation for 2014. The basic formula is the same: a mid-mounted engine, rear-wheel drive, and near-perfect chassis balance in a car that's as comfortable to drive to work every day as it is entertaining to blast around a racetrack.
Engine choices are between a 2.7L flat-six (275 hp/213 lb-ft of torque) in the base model, or a 3.4L six (325 hp/273 lb-ft) in the uplevel Cayman S. Both come standard with a six-speed manual transmission, and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic (dubbed PDK) is optional.
Standard kit includes automatically-extended rear spoiler, 18-inch wheels, power windows with one-touch operation, rain-sensing wipers, power-adjustable heated side mirrors, four-speaker stereo with touchscreen control, CD player, auxiliary input, Bluetooth, garage door opener, power release for front and rear cargo holds, cruise control, sport seats with electric backrest adjustment, leather-trimmed steering wheel, shifter and door handles, tilt-and-telescopic steering, vanity mirrors, and floor mats.
Cayman S models add 19-inch wheels, larger front brakes, and bi-Xenon headlights.
