Never let me down
I have had mine for over 5 years now. The only thing I have put into it so far are fluid changes. Brake job soon to come but for 5 years that is pretty awesome. Lots of room amd comfortable to drive. We also have a 2002 that has been passed oround through the family with over 350k. These things are built to run for a long time.

Good reliable winter vehicle
Drive year round but the 4WD Trailblazer with 4 good snows is great on snowy and icy roads. You drive with confidence no matter what the weather. Fully loaded on has comfortable interior. 173000 kms and no major problems.

Big, safe and practical.
This is the second Trailblazer EXT I have purchased. The first we bought in Texas and, after being rear-ended by a speeding drunk driver while stopped at a railroad crossing with no injuries to any of our passengers and minimal damage, I was assured of the safety of this car.
It's big when you need a big car, it can handle a lot of cargo and it's comfortable for long road trips.

Trailblazer 2.8l automatic. 500nm torque!
Recently bought, so can only give limited review. A real man's car. Powerful and rugged. Great for caravanning. Has all the bells and whistles!
Performs like a sports car. Rugged bakkie chassis and the options of load or a passenger 7 seater. It does everything right.

Amazing SUV
Best experience with SUV. Love the smooth ride, especially for long trips. Always relialable. Fun to drive on wet pave, ent or during snow storm. The only drawback is low fuel consuption in town, however makes it up on highway If you want a luxury SUV, this Trailblazer will not disappoint you.A pride to ride in it.

Comfortable SUV!
Driven the trailblazer for 8 years now and it still rides as good as the day I got it. Tons of space and leg room. The 4.2 can be thirsty on gas if you like to drive fast but quite good when you do the speed limit. The auto 4x4 option is fantastic in winter. It is always ready for when you get into some slippery stuff. Had my share of problems with the breaks and a few electrical issues but nothing out of the ordinary for the age of the vehicle. The 6 cylinder engine is very noisy when it starts up cold and has always been that way (search on google and you will see). GM knows about it but say it is normal. It goes away in one minute of driving so I don't mind it. It still has tons of power after all these years of driving. Great alternative to a full size suburban or pick up and it fits in my one car garage!

2005 Trail Blazer - blk on blk - LT fully loaded
This is the best vehicle that I have ever driven. Cheverolet seating is the best for comfort, styling, & durability.
Fuel economy is not the best, but it is a truck, & is comparable to the Cheverolet Avalanche.

Added performance of the RWD model vs AWD
Thought I wanted AWD, but after driving this I realized that RWD is much better because it feels lighter to drive and the RWD models are accordingly quicker.
The RWD also features a posi locking rear end so it never gets stuck in the winter (unlike my old Dakota did)
RWD also benefits from less drivetrain maintenance
Power robbing extra drivetrain
Not as strong if you wish to add power
Heavier
-Worse on fuel
-Slower
- heavier feel handling

Awesome !
I bought this car used off lease with already 100K I have already had the truck for more than 5 years....the truck is now 11 years old and still looks fresh off production line.....
Considering the age of the vehicle and all the wear and tear over the years, I have had to invest minimally to keep it on the road.
It's true what they say.....they don't make things like they used to.....
You wont find such durability and quality like you will when all of these trucks were made. Everything seems to have a few years shelf life...even months in some cases....before it starts eating into your wallet.
These trucks have an amazing ride, feels like you are floating, great for long distance driving with rooms with 5 people comfortably and enough power to get you anywhere in all weather conditions.
I still have my 11 year old Trailblazer named "Tarantula" and after viewing all of them for sale I will not hesitate to get another one before considering getting anything else.....

Chevy Trucks clear winner!
Chevy Trucks are reliable, hardworking and never quit. I was searching for an SUV and naturally I checked out the reviews and most of them trashed the Trailblazer. So I purchased the "much better" Japanese SUV. What a mistake, that thing was a lemon and was in the shop more than in my driveway. As it turned out the shop always gave me a rental and they gave me a Trailblazer. The rest is history. I traded in that unreliable Japanese SUV and got the Trailblazer. It's 6yrs old now and I haven't done a thing except 1 wheel bearing and oil changes and it still drives like new (and I'm very picky).

Awesome Vehicle
Its an older model but its been a great one has 4x4 which they are not making now 2008 was the last year and that is too bad.
I love the vehicle and the local dealer has a 2008 that I am probably going to look at ! Harder on fuel but the security alone is worth it and we do not do a lot of distance driving so all is good
