Great car, very reliable. No real issues in all the years we had it. Unfortunately my wife can't drive it anymore because of her disability. Otherwise we would keep it.

Suzuki Aerio
It will be really difficult for me to let it go but I guess its time to upgrade to something newer.
My experience with this car was amazing, never any mayor issue with the engine or anything else, excellent mileage, to the point that sometimes I almost forgot to fuel.
Reliable, well maintain. I will recommend it to anyone with my eyes closed.

Hassle Free Car
Despite some of the negative feelings some people have about Suzuki vehicles, I have found the Aerio to be a very reliable car. The car and engine has had no major problems and the gas pedal is very responsive. The most unexpected realization about the Aerio is the spacious rear seats and large cargo capacity. With the rear seats folded down I was able to transport an entire wardrobe. The Aerio also has great rear visibility and is easy to parallel or reverse park. The manual transmission is easy and forgiving. I have even failed to demo a stall while dropping the clutch in first gear, the engine didn't die and the car started to roll under its own power.

Not reliable
Got used in 2008. During my trip to Calgary on May 8th 2013 the connection rod made a hole in the engine. Oil leaked from the engine and caused fire in the engine compartment and under the car. The odometer reading was 82243 when this happened.
Last service was done in Februaly 2013. Replaced all break pads, changed oil, filter.

Good Ride for the money
I had this car for 5 years now (bought used), and it's still going strong without any major rapairs. The fuel economy is not top notch but I'm sure it could get better if the engine is maintained properly (I don't really have the time for). It has a unique look that no one will mistake for another make, also really resistant to rust.
The interior design is average, you hear a lot of the engine when driving, but the seats have good comfort for long rides. There is alot of head and leg room, so there is no problem if you are really tall. Also I have the hatchback version, and there is a lot of cargo room.

Great Car
This was the first standard car i have ever owned and have never run into any problems with it. it was really easy to learn because it was a lighter vehicle with few blind spots. this vehicle is good on gas which, as a student is always a good thing.

Roomy compact, but fuel economy lacking
I purchased my Aerio as a demo, and I might have gotten a bit of a lemon. There were several little issues early on, including a bolt that was trapped in my trunk somewhere so that I could hear it rolling around every time I made a turn.
Apart from those issues, it's a pretty decent ride, with a tall profile that makes it feel roomy. You can feel every bump, though, which might be simply a fact of driving a compact.
Also, fuel efficiency isn't so good for a car this small. It's just a tiny bit better than my Hyundai Santa Fe!

Great roomy car!
This car has tons of room inside. This includes leg room both in the front and back and as well as in the trunk. It also has good head room. You can carry lots of luggage, ect. Its very reliable and has never let me down for the past 5 years. Also, its actually a good performing car and has decent to good fuel economy. However, not everyone will like the exterior styling. One cool thing is the digital guages.

2003 Suzuki Aerio sedan
Interior - not keen on the total digital dash. Lots of head room, seats are OK, Driver seating position good, OK stereo/radio, engine vibration noise in cabin area.
Exterior - OK styling, very easy to park in tight spaces, fuel economy is below average for a car of this size, parts are crazy for cost, reliability issues with transmission (electronics), paint job is decent, ground clearance is poor (watch out for parking abutments/curbs!). Peppy little 2.0 litre engine.
I used this car for work and it was a great little commuter but was costing me a lot of money in repairs and below average fuel economy (not even close to a Civic)

Frugal and reliable
I find myself coming back to Suzuki's time and again because of the value for money.
However, at 9 years old most Aerios need the bushings on the front suspension replaced and possibly the motor mounts. If you can find a used one that has had that done, then it's probably worth buying the car.
I use snow tires in winter so despite a lack of traction control I've never had a problem getting up hills in the snow.

Great Car!!
Bought this car in 2004 with 45kms on it, new but classified as used. I have 160,000kms on it today and no major issues with it to date. It has all been regular maintenance and very cheap to fix and run on a daily basis.

Space, comfort and... space!
This is a great car for tall persons. The roof is high enough that you still have space between your head and the top. Enough space to spread your legs. When you get in and out of the car, the seat is high enough so it's not like getting in and out of a boat. Most of us spend so much time in a car that it is so important to be comfortable during the ride. Also a good price, fair performance and nice design. A very good choice for the price.

Great car.
Love my Aerio. Never had any major problems with it. Only a few repairs that were usually inexpensive and easy to fix. It is a small compact type car so it has a fair bit of noise on the highway but otherwise very comfortable and fun to drive.

Reliable car
Had my Aerio for 4 years, only had minor repairs to do - all inexpensive and quick. Easy to maintain, fun to drive. Always felt safe. Its a small car so it has a fair bit of noise on the highway. Basic model without the bells and whistles (so less stuff to break down...)
