Toyota 4Runner 1987-2016Change

Given my brief and limited time with the 2013 Toyota 4 runner, I find myself wanting for more, An excellent SUV all around.

I bought this car new in 1997... it's now 2012 and I don't remember ever having a problem with it. It's been very reliable and sturdy, and despite its age, it has always passed emission tests. Can't complain about it.

Tons of style, really cool interior and a very solid ride that gives you a lot of confidence. Offroad capabilities are exceptional and the car can take any challenge.

The main con is throttle response. The 4runner has a lot of power but you have to really floor it to get it, it's tough to keep up if you're feathering the pedal.

Fuel economy is surprisingly good.

Nothing short of amazing, great ride! Had two ford's, a isuzu rodeo and an explorer. never had an issue with my 4runner, had from new. gas mileage could be better

A very sturdy ride with decent fuel economy. I love the towing capability and the looks of this SUV. The luggage room is also an added benefit in this vehicle as I am able to load a baby stroller, suitcases and other things, which is difficult to achieve in a sedan. The 4-wheel drive also makes driving easier and it helps handling in winter.

Overall, I love my 2004 4-runner.

Bought this rig with 80,000 km on it in 2008 . Now has 155,000 and not a single problem with it! just the regular maintenance issues, new brakes and rotors,calipers all around, oil and filter changes ,tires, that's it. Highly recommend , 4 wheel drive is great in the winter and in the bush, although too nice and expensive to beat up in the bush.

We have owned this 4 runner since new. Great ride. quiet relialble.fuel consumption same as new, never changed. Regular maintenace no major repairs, no rust. still looks like new. Not many vehicles that are able to hold this claim.

My second 4Runner. A fantastic all-around performer. From off-roading, camping and fishing to moving, commuting to a night out. Great reliability. Looks great!
It's not the biggest, fastest or most luxurious but it does everything well. The back seats fold down for lots of space for gear. Decent options including heated seats, sunroof, heated mirrors, downhill assist, electronic locking rear, high/low range, foglights, power front seats, JBL stereo.
I have done a lift/leveling kit and installed larger tires, but fuel economy is the trade off with the 4Runner. I have averaged 12l/100 km for the past couple of years.

This was the first Toyota vehicle that I owned. I bought it second hand. I drove with 130,000 kms the same you would expect a vehicle to drive brand new. I was so happy with this purchase I decided to buy a brand new Tundra because I knew that it would be a long term vehicle that I would not regret.

except for minor electric problem in the rear defroster and wiper,i have not had any problems whatsoever.i love it
