2014 Toyota Highlander

Very comfort driving
I purchase this car 3 years ago, and all my families have great time with it. With my prior hyundai car, it's really terrible to drive in 407. it's always vibrate if it's speed over 120km/hour . After changing our family car to highlander, it's very comfort to using 407 highway.

Excellent SUV
It has great stability and above average reliability. All the quality and attention to detail that I've come to appreciate from Toyota combined with a truly innovative and useful design.

I have experienced great fuel economy with my V6 engine and ample power on the roadway. Interior space is excellent for hauling or for comfortably sating a family.

My Highlander
Its a comfortable ride, a reliable everyday car. Inside space is a little bit cramped but just enough for a small family. Handling is easy and comfortable to drive. Although the gas consumption is not that good, i wouldn't mind it as long as the driving experience is good enough for me.

Comfortable and reliable
I've been driving my toyota since 2003 and it still look good. It's the car we use for long trip specially in winter time. It has the same paint chop from the company. If i was to change it, i would go for another Toyota.

Love this car
I avery satisfied with this car.I love the appearance of it and how low the fuel intake is. I maybe have to fill the tank up every week and i use the car everyday for about 3-4 hours. I love the exterior styling but I do wish the interior did look a bit more luxury but the options of the car are terrific and seats are very comfortable for long hour drives. :)

Great family SUV
My highlander has been great to our family. Very comfortable interior, heated leather seats, smooth and powerful 3.3 V6 with 220HP. extremely reliable never had any issues with it and comes with 4WD for the winter. Although the exterior styling is a bit boring but its 11 years old and still runs as if it were new and that's all that matters.

2002 Toyota Highlander

2002 Highlander Limited V6 4WD
I know I haven't had this vehicle very long, about 6 days, but have already driven it almost 3,000 kilometres. Bought it for $6500 it has 276,000 clicks on it! Power seat, leather, heated seats, sunroof, JBL sound system, V6, 4WD, the seats are very very comfortable, on par with my Audi A6.

The V6 (3.0) is a great engine, sounds really good, smooth, quiet, I've driven mostly city and have averaged 19.2 miles per gallon, good acceleration too! Handling is pretty exceptional, though it's no match for my brothers Ford Focus, it gets the job done. Sound system is eat, air conditioning is good, I would say if you are looking for a reliable family hauler with decent mileage get a highlander. - fantastic headlights at nighttime!

Cons: gear shifter is annoying, and doesn't seem to like reverse. Build quality (dash and door panels) could be better. Would also like volume controls on dash.

Anyways, good vehicle overall.

2016 Toyota Highlander

2016 Toyota Highlander
We just bought this car after investigating many different options. So far we love it. We chose the XLE version so our 3 kids can go in the 2nd row and the 3rd row can be used for storage. Since the Limited version only offers 2 seats in the second row. We love all the new electronics in cars and we bought this SUV also for Toyotas reputation for reliability and the great design. Also I was tired of paying $500+ for every visit for service on our old Audi. One major concern is I have read the reviews on the standard tires with this vehicle Toyo Open Country A20 and they are terrible. Most reviews say they are dangerous in wet and slippery conditions and wear out prematurely. Hopefully this not the case but shame on Toyota is this is the case for putting a cheap and dangerous tires on a $40000 to $50000+ SUV for their customers.

Safe, solid ride with good fuel mileage and 4 by 4 performance.
This mid-size SUV performs extremely well in poor, slippery weather conditions. It provides total family safety, while ensuring a comfortable experience.

This vehicle has only required routine maintenance; oil changes, brakes, tires. No need to purchase extended warranty with such a quality Toyota product. We are very happy with this SUV.

SAVED ME TONS
This car has an amazing comfortable ride. It very quite and luxury. The best thing is it saves you tons in gas. Other SUV's are gas guzzlers but Highlander is an exception. This particular model is 4 cylinders and it drives like V6.

If you want great car to have for family 2003 Highlander is it!

2015 Toyota Highlander

by Swartzy on 03-10-2015
I don't know what people are complaining about!!!
I just purchased a 2015 Limited and absolutely love it!

A couple people have complained about the seats and how uncomfortable they are. That's what test drives are for. ridiculous. Another complained about how thin they are. Obviously not very educated in new vehicle standards. I work in a Toyota manufacturing plant and see new tech and innovation all the time. The seats are made thinner to provide more interior volume and they do not sacrifice comfort or support at all!

The new Highlander is miles ahead of the previous generation in looks, technology, handling, interior materials etc. it is not at all "hard to control" like another person suggested, but an absolute joy to drive. It's quiet, smooth, and great in all weather conditions. Having been a test-driver for the Lexus RX-350, I can honestly say this vehicle is right up there beside the luxury brand (at least the Limited trim)

Now, as I'm trying to give as accurate review as possible, all is not perfect. Agreeing with another reviewer, I was pretty ticked off when I learned that in Canada, you cannot get the entune system (which includes weather, traffic, stocks etc), and that the top trim levels don't come with the Led lights as they do in the US. I really don't think there is any excuse for this so WAKE UP TOYOTA CANADA!!! My other knock would be on the transmission. This is my first Toyota vehicle so for om what I've heard, their powertrains are tried and true however, they need to be updated. The 6 speed auto is ok, and it is tiptronic, but when the vehicle is left in drive and you floor it, the downshifts are painfully slow.....to the point where sometimes it'll downshift just 1 gear, then realize it's not enough so it'll eventually downshift another one.
Those are quite honestly the only negative things I have to say about it. Overall I love it and highly recommend it! Good bang for buck and you're paying for Toyota quality and reliability.

Seats are so uncomfortable - Sold car immediately
Purchased a 2015 Highlander LE. The car drives / handles incredibly well in dry, wet and snow. Very smooth ride. However, the seats are incredibly uncomfortable. Toyota includes Road Side assistance but I think it should be replaced with Chiropractor assistance. The seats are unbelievable stiff. The back does NOT have separate padding for the upper and lower back which leave the lower back completely unsupported. I can NOT last more than 15 seated in the car. I sold the car within 2 weeks. I think I dodged a bullet cause I didn't lose too much money. Too bad Toyota went cheap on their seats. The highlander LE still sells for almost $40,000. There is no excuse for seats to be this uncomfortable. As good as Toyota is, I never want to step foot in one ever again.

All around great vehicle
Owned one for 8 years, never let us down.
Interior noise is reasonable, and seats remained comfortable even after almost 300,000 km. Cabin is is not as lavish as some domestics, but the options are functional and well thought out. Has tons of legroom, and lots of cargo space.
Motor has plenty of power, smooth transmission and all wheel drive which translates to great traction in all conditions. It's actually kind of fun in winter. It drives light and agile.
Fuel economy is reasonable, has good range.
Exterior styling is unassuming, and definitely not fancy, but since the body style stayed the same for so long it helps conceal the vehicles' age.
Paint quality is awesome, and the body definitely resists rust.
Easily the most reliable and predictable vehicle we have ever owned.

2014 Toyota Highlander

Poor Quality - Toyota Highlander Limited
This SUV seats are not as comfort as it used to be, the foam is too thin, poor quality. The wheel steering is electric, and is hard to control. The fuel economy is not what it says in the manual, it is the worse fuel economy I ever had in an SUV with V6. It does not have all the features as it mentioned in the manual, like traffic, entune, etc. These features only available in US. The 7 seats are useless, as it is so cramp that it is impossible for your feet. It seems like it is built for kids to ride in. The exterior is too plain. The navigation system does not work at all, as it does not re-route. Apparently, all new vehicles of Toyota are having the same issues, which can not be fixed unless all vehicles are called for re-call and re-install a new version of the system. Toyota has way to go to improve its vehicles!
