Honda has just revealed the updated and refreshed 2018 Fit. The Fit gets new styling and Honda Sensing, Honda's active safety suite, is now standard on CVT-equipped cars.
The body changes start up front. The Fit gets a new two-piece grille. It updates the look and matches the grille on the 2017 Honda Civic. The H badge is more prominent than before. The headlights get increased detailing in the housing, for a more aggressive look. The new bumper adds chrome accents and a full-width splitter. At the back, the new bumper gets an added character line and there are new taillights.
Honda Sensing is new to the Fit and will be standard on all CVT-equipped models. It includes adaptive cruise control, automatic braking, lane keeping assist with lane departure warning, and road departure mitigation. Honda calls it "the most robust suite" of active safety features in its class.
There will also be a Sport trim added to the Fit lineup. That model will slot in between LX and EX, and get more aggressive bodywork. It includes a black finish on the 16-inch alloys, a bigger splitter in the front, and a diffuser with chrome exhaust finisher in the rear.
The Fit is getting a new colour too. The bright one is the Orange Fury shade shown in the lead photo. The 2018 Honda Fit will be available later this summer, with more details closer to it going on sale.
