There's an all-new Toyota Camry coming this summer. It's a new platform, with new more sporty styling, and even revised engines. We drive it in a few weeks, but for now, Toyota has given us some details on trim and pricing.
There are a pair of new engines. The first is a 2.5L four that makes 203 hp. While Honda dropped the V6 with the 2018 Accord, Toyota is keeping a 3.5L V6 available. It makes 301 hp. Both get an eight-speed automatic.
There is a new base model Camry too. The Camry L starts at $26,390. That new model is $280 less than the current base car, but trim for trim, the LE is $820 more for 2018.
The next step up is Camry LE, starting at $27,490. It gets a boost in equipment from last year. There is a new Entune 3.0 audio system, and a larger 7.0-inch Display Audio screen. The driver's seat is power adjustable, and it has 17-inch alloys. All Camry models get Safety Sense P. That system adds pre-collision with pedestrian detection, lane departure alerts and steering assist, automatic high beams, and radar cruise control.
An upgrade package for LE adds satellite radio, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, and additional convenience features.
XLE adds LE and upgrade pack features, along with dual-zone climate control, leather seats, and power adjustable passenger seat. A 7.0-inch information display replaces the 4.2-inch screen in the dash of lesser trims. It also has a smart key with push button start, blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, LED headlights and a moonroof. XLE V6 and XLE Hybrid trims also get a JBL autio system, 10.0-inch head up display, and a bird's eye view 360 degree camera system.
The SE is the sport trim, and is equipped like the LE. It adds sportier side skirts and unique front and rear fascias. The suspension is sport-tuned, the steering wheel gets paddle shifters, and the seats are more heavily bolstered.
XSE adds the XLE features to the sport trim and suspension of the SE.
