More than 30 Canadian Vehicle Debuts set for Canadian International Auto Show

The Canadian International Auto Show starts in a couple of weeks, and the show will bring 32 cars making their debuts in this country. That includes models from VW, GM, Ford, Porsche, and even McLaren. Plus a massively powerful exotic, and a few models yet to be named.

The auto show opens to the public for the next 10 days. The Canadian Car and Utility of the Year awards will be handed out and more than 1,000 cars trucks and other vehicles will be on display.

Audi will be showing off a trio of new vehicles. The company's first electric SUV, the Audi e-tron will make its Canadian debut showing off the electric all-wheel drive system. The 2019 Audi Q3 made its global debut with new styling and new powertrains last summer. This is the first appearance for it at a Canadian show. The meaner looking and more powerful new R8 will also be on display.

If you're looking for sporty two-doors, BMW will bring the new Z4 roadster and its inline-six engine to the show. Toyota has said it's bringing two cars but hasn't said just what. Expect one of them to be the new 2020 GR Supra, sibling to the new Z4.

Cadillac will have the all-new XT6, the company's latest three-row crossover powered by a 3.6L V6. They'll also have the CT6-V, showing off the new 4.2L twin-turbo Blackwing V8. Also from GM, Chevrolet will bring the Blazer crossover and the all-new 2020 Silverado HD and GMC will have the new Sierra HD.

Those last two won't be the only new HD pickups, with the new Ram HD and its 1,000 lb-ft of torque will make its Canadian debut.

Ford might not have a new pickup to show, but the 5.2L supercharged V8 in the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 will probably still draw a crowd.

More SUVs include Hyundai's new flagship SUV the Palisade, Jaguar's new supercharged V8-powered F-Pace SVR, and the plug-in Mercedes-Benz EQC. That's the company's first all-electric crossover that debuted globally last month. Plus Infiniti will have the QX Inspiration concept crossover.

McLaren isn't saying just what they're revealing, but they have made some Canada-specific trims in the past and this could be another. The Senna will be on display, but won't be the only monster of a performance car. Porsche will have the race-only 718 Cayman GT4, Nissan will bring the Nismo Leaf RC electric racecar. Genesis is bringing the Essentia Concept, an all-electric, carbon chassis sports car, and new boutique automaker Devel Motors will bring the million-dollar-plus quad-turbo V16-powered Sixteen and its 5,007 hp.

On top of those, Porsche, Lexus, and Subaru all have planned reveals they haven't yet named.

The Canadian International Auto Show takes place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Feb 15-24.
