With more than 806,000 hashtags, the Bugatti Chiron squeezes onto this list. Bugatti is a French supercar maker that has been around since 1909 and is currently owned by the Volkswagen Group. The Chiron goes for about $3 million and has about 1,500 horsepower, so it’s one of the fastest, most powerful and most exotic supercars out there.

9. Bugatti Veyron

The Bugatti Veyron is the supercar that preceded the Chiron 15 years ago and it has amassed more than 884,000 hashtags on Instagram. 8. Ferrari LaFerrari

As one of the most uncreatively named supercars out there, the Ferrari LaFerrari has more than 1.14 million hashtags on Instagram. Despite its weird name, the hybrid V12 LaFerrari pushed a lot of boundaries when it debuted in 2013. The LaFerrari, along with the above Veyron, helped create a new class of car called the hypercar because their performance was considered absolutely wild when it came out.

7. Honda/Acura NSX

The only entry on this list from a non-European automaker, the Acura NSX (called the Honda NSX in other markets) has 1.15 million hashtags on Instagram. This Japanese supercar has been around since 1990, so it has the benefit of being around longer than all the other vehicles on this list. Back then when it first debuted, it got a lot of hype for offering the same level of  performance as those European supercars but with a lower price and better reliability. Today, the second-generation NSX is a hybrid that’s hand-built in the U.S.

6. McLaren P1

The McLaren P1, which also helped establish a new hypercar class, has about 1.16 million hashtags on Instagram. Like the LaFerrari, it was a hybrid supercar, proving that hybridization could be used for performance and not just better fuel economy. This 900-hp specimen was the spiritual successor to the F1, an iconic supercar from the 1990s.

5. Lamborghini Gallardo

The Lamborghini Gallardo was one of the most epic supercars of the mid-2000s. It appeared in a ton of music videos and was name dropped in a lot of hip hop from the time. This isn’t a very sexy detail, but the Audi R8 is cited as the first production car with full LED headlights, a feature that has now become common on even budget cars. The Audi R8 was featured in Iron Man as the car of choice for Tony Stark. It also made an appearance in 50 Shades of Grey

1. Lamborghini Aventador

With a staggering 3.6 million hashtags, the Lamborghini Aventador is the most popular supercar on Instagram.
