As good as she gets
Describing this car is plain and simple: reliable. Perfect for commuters and first time buyers looking for something cheap yet reliable. Recent upgrades puts her at the top of her game. This has been such a great car to us it is really hard to let it go. I miss her already!

Can never go wrong with a civic!
My first car ever. Bought it for $500. Had to replace the engine at 300,000KM. Dropped a new engine in for about $1000 and drove it for another 2 years. Definitely fuel economic, and it was the 2 door coupe so it had that early 90's great style that never faded. Finally sold it and upgraded to a vehicle with power windows, but I loved my Civic!

Great runaround
We bought this car from a friend for a bargain price and kept it for about 1 year as our 3rd car for visitors arriving from out of town. It was an old car when we got it but it didn't require any maintenance and we sold it for more than we paid, gotta love those Honda residual prices.

1993 Honda Civic

Older Civic
As my first car, it certainly fulfilled its mission: get me from point A to point B. At the time, fuel economy was simply amazing: 700 km per tank of highway driving. While small, it actually afforded greater room when it comes to cargo, due to the hatchback style. Yet it can (uncomfortably) seat 5 when needed. The first major problem was corrosion of the gas line. Typical for Civics, there were later issues of of leaks in the head gasket, leading to coolant leaking into the engine. In the grand scheme of things, the model I owned probably lacked the maintenance it needed before I purchased it. Otherwise I see a greater potential lifespan- perhaps greater than the 97 model.

Economy with some fun
This was the first car I ever owned. I bought it new after getting my first job out of University. It had manual windows, no air conditioning and no audio system. It was a great looking car in coupe form and with the manual shifter was a lof of fun to drive. With passengers the low power available definitely showed and reduced the fun factor, but it was very economical on gas.

My family had owned Accords and Civics for years. This like all of the Honda's we owned were very reliable. The engines especially if properly maintained would run for hundreds of thousands of kilometers.

For anyone looking for an economical starter car with a bit of fun to drive and styling, I would highly recommend it.
