Bought the car second hand from my sister as a filler between my last car breaking down, and saving up for the car I want.. And surprisingly the car has performed real well for me.

This car has made me feel safe and comfortable each time I drove it. During long drives, I was able to enjoy its smoothness, excellent fuel economy, and very nice sound system. Overall, it was (and continues to be) a great ride for someone on a budget, but who values comfort, style, and safety.

car mostly used for driving from Quispamsis to work in Saint John. Very comfortable on highway. All service work has been done at Dealership.

When buying a GLS from anyone, look for the audio controls on the steering wheel - if no controls it's not a GLS. The GLS has ABS and 4 wheel disc brakes as well as side curtain airbags - hence the extra $$.

Had mine for 5 years and will keep it for a couple more years. Reliable and solid car.

After close to 120,000 km, still no major repair or problems, always start in winter and quite comfortable for the price

great car but needs more room inside. you will have problems sitting comfortably if you are a tall person. Moving your seat back will only make it impossilbe for the person sitting behind you to sit comfortably.

Bought 2yrs old from car rental agency. Lots of cosmetic flaws but overall okay. Very poor on acceleration. Transmission wants to change on its own occasionally and it is not smooth. Lots of interior noise when radio/CD off. Decent interior room and dash layout. Poor fabric quality for seat covers. Excellent fuel economy. Sway bar links went at 90K and was covered by warranty and fixed quickly and properly. I feel that this car is very average overall but not as good as my last car (2000 Corolla - RIP).

I am very satisfied. I went everywhere with this car. 2L engine gives an enjoyable boost on highways. Fuel Efficient.

I have nothing but great things to say about this car. Great gas mileage, great performance, little maintenance! Being an above average in height guy, I find there to be plenty of room both as a driver and as a passenger

I have nothing but great things to say about my elantra. It is spacious, great on gas, and has pretty good performance for a smaller car. Being 6'2" I have trouble fitting in a lot of smaller cars but have lots of head room and leg room both as driver and passenger.

I've had for a couple of years now, it's pretty good most of the time, but on certain days it just won't do. I got back when it first came out and I was ecstatic, but I after a few years of travelling, I guess it's just starting to lose its spark. It's a shame though, it rode great. I would totally recommend buying this car for your first one. So many memories made in this guy. I think I might even but the next one.

I have driven this car for over 100000km and I have never had a break down. Fuel economy is great 40MPG highway.

The Elantra is one of the top end cars of the Hyundai list in 2008. From the fully auto heating a/c system to the ease of reaching the radio controls either on the dash or the steering wheel, this is a very logically laid out car. The dealer was even nice enough to add a rear spoiler to make it look a little more sportier and we feel it just finishes the Elantra off correctly.
The ride is very smooth and quiet both in town and on the highway at highway speeds, The steering wheel mounted controls are very easy to use and avoid taking your eyes off the road once you get to know where and what each one does, very easy to learn.
