Jeep Grand Cherokee 1991-2016Change

Very comfortable ride with lots of features such as cooled leather seats a must in summer months. Fuel economy is 32 miles to the gallon and when cruising 6 cylinders go down to 4 for better fuel economy. Love the heated steering wheel for winter especially when you forget your gloves. Also love the back-up camera and sensors, perfect parking when backing into a parking spot. Love the memory seats for two different drivers.

Over the few years that I've owned this Jeep it has been a great little SUV. Used mainly for travelling to work, it is very comfortable and very powerfull. fuel consuption is good considering a high output V-8 4 wheel drive. It had develloped some slop in the suspension and at this time I changed all serviceable parts(as they all had the same millage, it made sence to go through everything), now it is back to riding like a dream. My wife wanted something newer and I need a pick-up for our 5th-wheel camper so the Grand has to go. I hope it goes to a good home with someone who will love it as much as we have.

Since we purchased our new truck, we have found it to be everything we expected. The upscale interior is well laid out and comfortable. The controls are well laid out, and even though the Nav/Radio interface has had some poor reviews we find it fine never having had such a system in previous vehicles. The exterior styling is also very attractive in a Jeep like tough style. We have the upgraded Overland addition with adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, review camera, and panoramic roof. If you are buying this vehicle, buy one with the rear view camera; A MUST. The one negative part of this truck is the abundant blind spots, without the rear view camera you will have problems backing up! Our version has the 6 cylinder engine and it performs well under most situations. While we have not yet towed with it, we feel it should have no issues with a 5,000 lb capacity. the fuel millage has been improving, but still gets about 13 litres/100 kms combines; remember this is a truck not an economy car. During a recent heavy snow storm the vehicle performed perfectly, even with the all season radials that came standard on the truck. I just placed it in the SNOW setting and drove carefully with no issues at all. We really like this truck, and feel it will do anything from towing our trailer to long distance family vacations. The icing on the cake is that this is a recommended buy from Consumer Reports meaning that you stand a good chance that you will have fewer problems long term. We recommend it!

It handles like you're driving a car. It has great turning radius. It is a bit of a gas guzzler. It's a sturdy SUV and great for offroading/camping trips. Spacious trunk area.

Bought the car this past summer (2012) and fell in love the second I drove it. I adapted right away to the style of ride. It was like I had owned the vehicle for 2 years already. It's not a racing vehicle, thats for sure, but I love the power the engine has, after all, this is a 3000lbs SUV. I get an average of 300km/tank and at 99.9 (gas price) it costs about $65 from empty. The only thing I don't like about this car is that the transmission is a little clunky (That could just be my Jeep).

Very comfortable and secure ride in any weather. Good fuel economy at 100km/h, not so good if you're heavy on the gas pedal. The Laredo is good value at under $40K, not so sure about the loaded Overland at $55K+

This is the 5th Jeep Grand Cherokee that I have owned and it is by far the finest!

The rear independent suspsion has created a much better ride quality and allows for pretty good handling. Exterior noise is drastically reduced and allows for a quieter ride.

The interior is much superior to any Jeep I have previously owned and the styling is nice but still could use a little bit more thought on the exerior for the "WOW" factor.

Reliability is still to soon to tell but ask me in three to four years!

Overall I would definetly recommend this SUV if you are in the market! However, afterall I am a fan of the brand.

I bought a '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee in college, and LOVED it. If gas prices hadn't jumped, I would have kept it longer.
Especially in the winter, I miss having that 4 wheel drive, and ability to power through any bad road conditions. Will definitely be considering another Grand Cherokee for my next vehicle.

I have had an excellent 6 years driving my GCL. I have had full confidence in snowy conditions or waterlogged roads. Very little maintenance, just the usual small stuff that every vehicle encounters. Would buy another one in a heartbeat if I could afford the new ones. Meanwhile I will continue to drive this one - "the best ever"!

Perfect for all weather. Very good carrying capacity. Economic for the size of the engine. Its a luxury limo that can bring you where ever you want and when ever you want.

Good driving.Very good in snow.Good on gas.The radio is nice to listen to.Very quiet.Heared seats are nice in winter

Using 3.0 Litre Diesel power the vehicle's performance and economy are tough to beat especially when combined with the longevity of the Diesel power plant.
The 4 wheel drive system speaks for itself
Dealer service for routine maintenance has been excellent and the standard Chrysler Warranty provides confidence for this long-term people and toy hauler

I have been driving this truck for two years and love it. I bought it from its original buyer from new and he really took good care of it and it shows. I m only selling it because i have bought a pick up truck and just need a cheap car to run aroound in.

exellent vehicle with free issues, been maintained well, have it for over 2 years now, with no problem, regular oil change new tires, new brakes, Tranny oil fluid changed at the dealer about 35,000 KM ago, best buy remote starter installed,oil spray,
never had any issues with the SUV, drives excellent on the road and HWY, very solid , excellent on the snow, interior is beautiful.

My jeep grand cherokee is a great vehicle. It isn't too bad on fuel as far as jeeps go and if you are traveling it is even better. It is also amazing in the snow and heavy rain. A good recomendation.

Great SUV, love the stance and look of the Grand Cherokee 05 body style. Suspension is stiff and not "boaty" like old car suspension. Sterring wheel is tight, not lose. Handles and drives great for an SUV.

It's 2013 and other than some seriously corroded wiring this vehicle is still running well. It's just quirky... you have to slam the door for the back wiper to work. or lock the passenger door for the radio to work. All the issues are just with the old wiring, which is to be expected after 17 years.

Excellent car with a style that never really gets old. Extremely spacious and in fact, I've used the car several times to help friends move and for myself as well. Its big enough to fit medium sized furniture. The only issue is the high upkeep costs and the numerous times that the car has failed on me (On average once every one and a half years). If its not the engine, its the ignition or when all of a sudden my key is not recognized by the car. Fuel economy is also not that great. Despite these issues, the pros still outweighed the costs so I would give it 4/5.

The Jeep my husband bought but now I get to drive. It seems to be a very solid vehicle. I do like that I have the freedom to go where ever I want to or have to even though I have not had the opportunity to do so yet. I like the compactness of the vehicle.
My hubby raised it and put big tires on it and it seems to be a very good 4x4 vehicle.

This is nit my first jeep, and it wont be my last. the 2005 Grand Cherokee has always been my fav jeep. i have wanted one since chrysler released it. so when i got my chance to own one i jumped at the offer and i went the all the way. my jeep meet every standard i had for performance with the 5.7 HEMI but with 325hp comes very poor fuel economy. The ride was smooth some of the time but at the same time its a jeep. The interior is vary Mercedes Benz with the hint of cheap plastic and unusual small cabin space. The exterior is vary peaceful and and makes you remember what chrysler can do when there using there mind. Reliability well it may be made on a Benz platform ,but its still a chrysler. but unlike my sebring or my 1993 jeep i think this jeep will be here for a while.

Always feel safe in this Jeep. Easy to drive in winter, can power through snow and has great handling. Not super wide so parking is easy too!

It has very lack of power with the 3.6 litre V6,and lots of blind spots in it while driving,could cause person to hit something or someone while driving it,the tires and traction control do not work good in snowy or icy conditions,turns you slide out of control lots

I am female and have owned my Grand Cherokee for 12 years, and I still love it. I feel safe to travel in any kind of weather by myself. Jeeps are a woman's best friend, take my word for it!
I wouldn't drive anything else. To all the women out there, if you are looking to purchase a vehicle with style, comfort and dependability, buy a JEEP.

We camp, pull our travel trailer, make trips to victoria and back to edmonton, plenty of cargo space, comfortable for the ride, 4x4 helps get us through the winter weather. love my jeep and wouldnt go with anything else
