Toyota has just released pricing for the 2019 Corolla. While the compact sedan isn't all-new this year like the 2019 Corolla Hatchback, it does hold the line on pricing.
After a refresh front and rear for 2017, then adding a new top XLE trim for 2018, the 2019 Corolla remains unchanged for 2019. To go along with that, the base price stays the same too. The base Corolla CE with a six-speed manual starts at $16,790. Add a CVT and air conditioning and the CE is $20,375. Those models get a 6.1-inch touchscreen with Display Audio, LED headlights, and Toyota's Safety Sense P. That active safety pack comes with pedestrian detection with forward collision warning and emergency braking, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, and radar cruise control.
Of note for Canadian buyers, the Corolla is one of a few cars that are available for less in Canada than in the US. That's because the six-speed isn't offered below the SE model there. The base US Corolla is US $18,600.
The Corolla offers a 1.8L four-cylinder engine across the line, making 132 hp and 128 lb-ft of torque. In the LE Eco trim, the same engine uses Toyota's Valvematic valvetrain to boost power to 140 hp. More importantly, it improves combined fuel economy from 7.5 L/100 km in other trims to 6.9.
Other trims see some slight price increases, up $120 from last year. The 2019 Toyota Corolla is on sale now.
