Gets you there
The 3 runs fine, handles corners well, good pickup. Cant say the styling is very appealing, in fact, it's very minimal. There are better looking cars out there, but it operates as it should.

Great little car
Goes like stink, nice fit & finish, pretty and nimble little car.

We drove this for 7 years before trading it in, and if the lady didn't want to go upmarket, I would have been happy to get another one again.

Even as a taller guy I had no issues with headroom. The car is smallish but in a way that helped - great for the city and parking.

Sporty yet Sporty?
I like my 04 mazda 3 way more than my old toyota tercel.
its way quicker easier to drive and has a much louder sound system. It drives smooth, easier to steer and I find it has way more visibility when parking or driving down the highway. I've had my car rustproofed and reapplied yearly. The car still rusts, It rusts like every other mazda. I don't know how to stop it, its everywhere!!

Nice city car but rusts
Nice car to zip around the city in but this year had problems with rust. Apparantly this was fixed in newer models.

Still going stron
Have had no problems with this car since day one. Got pick up when needed and good on gas. Nice looking car. Prefer this body design to the newer models. Don't like the smiley face. Any work done on the car is just normal wear over the years. Nice size outside and in. I just wish there were more colour choices. Drive daily on the highway - no problems.

This is the first car I have ever bought. There were a few hiccups along the way, but as I now understand, this is often the case when a new model is brought into circulation. For the most part it has been a great ride. The biggest problem with my car is rust. I noticed this problem just 2 years after purchase. On the upside, the car handles well, is comfortable, and allows me to zip around town, and even parallel park with ease. For a small car it has ample leg space and trunk room. I would buy another Mazda!!

It rides very smooth
I've had this car for 4 years. I love it alot. My next car will be another mazda. It is also a very good family car and it drives very very well in the winter. The only problem i have with it is. it rusts very easy on the back off the car. Other then that. I will always drive a Mazda. :)

200,000kms and no end in sight
This has been one reliable automobile with no end in sight to its life under the hood.

At about 195k was the first time I had put any money into repairs other than regular vehicle maintenance. Refreshed suspension and it feels like this trusty old car is good to go another 200,000 clicks.

Also, interior feels significantly more upscale then the newer 2010+ Mazda 3s. A shame, makes it difficult to upgrade.

My 2004 Mazda 3
I am a HUGE fan of this vehicle. Its manoverability in and out of trafiic make it an excellent car for those short commutes to work or the grocery store, while its quick acceleration make it fun to drive on the highway.

Even though my Mazda 3 is nearly 9 years old, its sleek looks and strato blue mica colour still generate compliments.

Love my Mazdas
I love Mazda''s the ride is smooth, handling is great fuel economy is there onlye issue I had with this one was the rust damage came so easily to the trunk and wheel wells. They seemed to have fixed the issue in later models but man it is bad.

Fantastic!
This is a great vehicle. The body is designed very well, and I am impressed with the comments I get from other people. The seats aren't too soft, yet they are comfortable on long rides, so my back doesn't get sore. It doesn't do fantastic on fuel, but at 32 mpg on the highway, it certainly beats my truck! I love the way the interior looks, and how easy it is to fix/customize everything. The repair bills are a little higher than a domestic, but it has good resale value. Overall, aside from normal wear and tear, it does very well. I am thoroughly impressed and will definitely consider a mazda again.

2004 and 2006 Mazda 3
I have had two of these cars now and they were both very good. Well put together both outside and in. Good performance out of the 2.3L but the economy could be better considering it is not that big of a small car. Overall very happy with the car and would recommend them to anyone. I even hit black ice in my first one at about 60km/h and jumped it over a curb, after a great deal of inspection the only damage was a bend in the lip of my winter rim and a scratch on the thick guard under the lowest pulley (which thankfully was there or I would have been looking for a new block potentially)

I love my Mazda!
This has been the most reliable car I have ever owned. We bought the vehicle in 2008 and the car hasn't had any major repairs, only routine maintenance. The only issue with the car is the rust on every panel, but luckly ours is orange so it's only noticeable upon close inspection.

Nice and functional
I have been driving my 2004 Mazda 3 GT (5 speed manual) for about 115,000km of the 145,000Km on it. It has been a great car with lots of room for the family and the dogs when we travel. There's enough trunk space to cart large items (espcially if you fold the rear seats down).

Overall it has served me very well and it has enough power when I need it.

A few things that I'm finding as it ages is that the rear quarter panels are starting to rust out (I konw I should have had it re-rust proofed), the cabin noise on highways is more noticable than on newer cars I've driven, and the rear compartment privacy cover is REALLY annoying. Having to take it out and store it when folding rear seats down is annoying - I've seen other cars where they're retractable screens, that would be much better.

Nice Ride
I have owned the car for years and its very reliable and has a very good build quality in comparison with other small compact, such as civic I have never had a problem with it apart from a flat tire after i unfortunately hit a pothole.
