Mazda Mazda3 2009Change

Compared to others in it's class the Mazda 3 blows the competition away. Especially the 1st generation model that is built in Japan. I went for the top trim when looking for a second hand car. It is zippy and reliable. For the price it is cheaper and better than a second hand honda civic which has a mark up due to it's name. Interior has leather seats, climate control, cruise control, AUX and heated seats. The hatchback is great for our pet dog to sit in. GT model is not as fuel efficient as the lower models due to it having close to 160hp. Love this car and will be driving it for years to come.

This car has been the greatest experience. It's comfortable, good looking,peppy and really an easy car to take care of. Mazda's are the way to go. Because of this great car my family members have bought Mazdas for themselves. A great car for all ages.

Low maintenance with great, fun options and still a bit of zip. I had so much fun with this car, love the look and the handling. Smooth, quiet ride, lots of space for 4 people. Great in the city and steady on the highway.

This car is fun drive and hassle free! It's great on gas and is very functional. I would buy this car again.

As a owner of this make, great prefomance, ride is smooth and great on gas expecially if Hwy driven.

Grate as first car, for young couples with no kids / 1 kid.
Very reliable, not the most beautiful car but it is matter of taste.

Its a great car, awesome exterior and interior ! I just which the fuel economy was a bit better in the city. It has a 2.3L engine with around 158 hp, just wish it had the new 2.5L Sky Active Engine with 188 hp. I know more power may equal less fuel economy but Mazda's brand new 2014 Mazda3 proves wrong. If you can't afford new this is a great car, but once you have it you wish you could have the brand new one too!

For being a tall guy this car has been more than accommodating. The car has great pick up from the start and handles very well in all driving conditions.

I have loved owning this car and am sad to have to sell it. I am leaving the country and therefore will need to sell it. The car has so much pep and performance. The power is there when you need it and it is the most comfortable car to drive that I've ever owned. It handles well in all weather conditions and has tremendous space for transporting things because of the hatchback! With the additional features like leather interior, heated seats, cruise control, steering wheel buttons for the sound system, 5 CD changer etc it's a luxurious feel!

Car has been extremely good to me no problems at all Very reliable and efficient great space interior good truck space. Very smooth drive. I would recommend this car to anyone.

I had this car seen new . the reason I'm selling it because we are have a kid coming so we want a bigger suv . otherwise I will keep it. I never have any problems with this car. very good on gas as well.

Terrific to go around corners and parking. Very dependable and economical car to move in and out of the City. Car has been inside garage as we go south for the winter months. Car has been mostly highway driven - Toronto /Ottawa/ Deep River. We serviced this car at Mazda dealer both in Ottawa and Toronto,

I've had my Mazda3 for 4 years now. I love the style, much more than the newer versions of the 3 series. It is stylish both inside and out with several upgrades that come standard. The only complaint I would have about the Mazda3 is that I have worn through tires fairly quickly. I don't believe its due to my driving style although I do drive a lot (highway). That gas mileage is great but my tires wear in strange patterns even with regular tire rotation. I have always bought good tires and never had trouble with tires before.

Purchased new and love this car! I've never had any issues with this car that wasn't out of the norm. Highway driving is smooth and comfortable.
I love the rain-sensing wipers and now know it must be on my next vehicle! I also initially underrated the heated mirrors...until the first good layer of ice in winter.
Added vent-visors are perfect on rainy days when you want a little fresh air.
Trunk is nice and big.

i find the internal temperature of this car does not work properly for a Canadian winter. It stays cold inside the car if the temperature outside is colder then around -24 C

The first few years have been great. I love the hatchback. I can't tell you how many times I was glad to have the extra room and hauling ability.

Thus far the fuel economy has exceeded my expectations, but I hyper-mile when I drive and am very conscious of not accelerating like crazy or braking hard.

No major issues to report in terms of repairs. There was a small issue with the stereo that was fixed, and I've had a couple of flat tires, but other than that, nothing major

One serious negative are the 'performance' tires - they needed to be replaced around 60K, and I would prefer to have something rated for 100K+ and sacrifice a little handling

We love this car despite the problems we have encountered. Other passengers have also complained that there isn't enough leg room in the backseats....but we do not sit back there.

Small car but plenty of trunk space!!!

I have never had any problems with my car, It is very reliable and was my first car. It was an excellent first car.

This car has been a very dependible car for me since day one. very reliable, dependable and looks great too. I would highly reccomend this car to anyone.

Rented the vehicle for a vacation drive. Drive was pretty smooth. Liked the exterior very much. A bit slow to go from 0 to 60 kmh, but not too bad. Easy to handle.

i dont even like driving any other car!

I've owned this model now since new and have loved it since day one. Mine is the 5 speed manual version and if you can drive a stick, I would highly recommend going for a manual over the automatic due to the peppy acceleration and better use of the power rev range from the engine.

I find it accelerates well for just a 175HP 2.5L I-4 engine, the suspension holds it own in the corners and on all rough roads giving a comfy ride for a sporty compact sedan.

The only real downside I find is though it has 3 seatbelts in the rear seat area, I wouldn't try to put 3 adults or even 3 kids in it as their isn't really enough room. but for a family of 4 it is a nice fit, and still fun to drive.


Oh did I mention it is fun to drive?

I find that this car does not heat to a comfortable temperature when it is very cold outside. If it gets colder than -25 degrees C the interior is still cold.

It's the most outstanding car anyone can have. It's very quiet. The price is good. You can get whatever colour you want.

Love the dashboard. interesting color combination. plenty of head and leg room, particuallariy in the rear
